Iran feature fiction ‘Searing Summer’ heads to Dhaka fest

Notable feature fiction ‘Searing Summer’ by Iranian director Ebrahim Irajzad joins the lineup for the 16th Dhaka International Film Festival.

The multi-award winning film will be screened January 18 in the Asian Competition section of the Dhaka Film Festival .

A rock solid cast attached to the flick includes Parinaz Izadyar, Ali Mosaffa, Mina Sadati, Yasna Mirtahmasb and Saber Abar.

The film follows Nasrin who wants to get a divorce, but knows she won’t be able to get custody of her six-year-old daughter if she does. Without her husband knowing, she moves to another part of town with her daughter. One day her husband catches up with her and their lives take an unexpected turn.

The flick debuted at 28th Stockholm International Film Festival, Sweden held in last November.
